Warm and dry, fairly tough

Got these two weeks ago to try out after shredding my old Patagonia fabric glove shells and couldn't find shells to replace them with. I immediately tore a hole in the palm while doing something with a trailer, but there was another layer of leather underneath that one thankfully. I plan to get it fixed at a leather place in town once I find one. Then, last weekend we got our Toyota Land Cruiser (80 series with locking diffs) stuck up on a snow berm out in the mountains. I spent around 3 hours trying to dig out the snow with these gloves on (epic fail!). They are pretty tough and though they were soaking wet, my hands were still warm and dry so they get my vote there. They now have a little hole near where two fingers come together. I have to ding them a little on durability, but not performance. I think I'm just harder on gear than I realize. I should have had my old gauntlet gore tex ice climbing shells for the snow digging instead of these - my fault. Definitely a great choice for the average user and my wife really likes her H20 mittens by the same company. There's a luxury about them which is nice too - though hard to describe.
