Excellent winter jacket for the price

I've purchased and owned a lot of gear from several brands (Columbia, North Face, Kavu, Bonfire, etc.) but nothing from Avalanche. Needing an insulated jacket for the upcoming winter, I bought this for under $50 and have been very pleased thus far. The insulation runs throughout the entire jacket, not just the sleeves. The sleeve and back material is more substantial than most down jackets I've seen/tested/owned. The pockets are deep and all zippers are quality work. The removable hood is, possibly, the weakest point of the jacket in that it isn't form fitted for a helmet but, rather more of a "general use" hood. There are no pit zips or ventilation areas within the jacket, but I didn't buy it for high-activity settings. This jacket will get me through commuting to work in the 10-20 degree weather we have in deep winter without any problems.
