Dye release mess!Reviewed by CB from Washington on Wednesday, February 28, 2018Previous reviewer gave a great summary of the dye release problem with this sweatshirt. Wish I had read it before purchasing! The black powder released by the garment is like copier toner. It is everywhere. I tried to "set" the dye w/ hot water, then the dryer. That didn't work. The sweatshirt continues to release the powdery dye. It is unwearable and probably dangerous. It's now buried in the back yard. RIP
cute and comfy, but.....Reviewed by spren from mississippi on Friday, January 26, 2018This is a super comfy sweatshirt, but the dye bleeds out of the fabric even after washing. The label on the shirt says this, but none of the online product descriptions mention this. Had I known, I wouldn't have purchased.
Not only does the fabric continue to bleed dye, the "peached fleece" on the inside of the shirt creates a dust, which I only realized when I blew my nose, and it looked like I had inhaled charcoal (I bought the grey shirt). Call me crazy, but this seems super unhealthy.
Last, the tag on the shirt also says that the fabric is prone to developing holes. Apparently, one of the processes used to create the shirt is "burnout." Thus, the shirt does have areas where the fabric is thinner.
Not impressed, and feeling like I've ordered a shirt that is unhealthy for me...and probably for the environment too?
