Very light and pretty good fit

I have worn helmets from several brands including Bell, Giro, Specialized and Louis Garneau. The Bell helmets seem to fit my head shape the best. I have been using a Bell Sweep for the last couple of years and really like the helmet, just time to update the color. I am right in between sizes (S-M), so opted for the medium, which feel a bit big even with the adjustment system but didn't want to chance getting a helmet that was too small. Plus, when I wear a skullcap during the Winter the medium will fit the extra volume nicely. The strap system takes a bit to get adjusted just right around my ears. The problem I see with most helmets is the straps never lay completely flat where they make the Y-shape of going from two straps to one that goes under the chin. Specialized helmets solved that by having a separate plastic piece that is a 3-way for the straps. Another thing I noticed is the channels are not placed well for supporting my sunglasses flipped upside down and along the front when I want to ride without the sunglasses. The Bell Sweep seem to have much better placement for the sunglass arms and stayed in the slots tight. With the Gage my sunglasses are barely holding on in the front position so have resorted to sticking them more into the openings toward the top of the helmet, and can feel the ends of the sunglass arms hitting the top of my head. Will continue to play around with the sunglasses and see if there is a better location to store them when riding without them. What I like about the helmt is how light it is and hardly know I have it on. The dial fit works well and is quick to get a good fit. Overall, I am pretty pleased with the helmet other than the straps not laying flat and not having a good spot in the channels for my sunglasses.
