Way different than the windstopper coat

This review is difficult because I wanted to love this product. I had purchased the set of windstopper Beretta's, and thought the Gore-Tex would just be the nicer version. It's not. I'm reviewing this so you know what you are buying. The Windstopper set is more like a bowhunters setup, XL fits me well, 6'1", 225, however the Gore-Tex coat is way bigger, I'd say 3x size wise. It has some nice functional shell pockets, however, the handwarmer pockets are up high on the front of the jacket, there are no pockets behind the lower bellows which I prefer. Another puzzling feature is the "radio pocket" that goes on the far left hand breast, and loads from the far left. No matter how much I contorted, I don't believe I could actually get something into that pocket, as it's like trying to touch your left shoulder with your left fingers. You have to reach across your chest, with your right hand, unzip, grab your radio, etc and fish them in across your chest.

The matching pants had 2 side zip pockets but no rear pockets, so nowhere to put your wallet. If you buy this set plan on the size difference mentioned above. The pants fit about the same, it's the jacket that's lots bigger. You should plan on it being a waterfowl style coat, that's how it comes off with some poorly executed features.

For the right person, this product may be fine. Most of the waterfowl hunting in my neck of the woods, is dead marsh brown, this bright green "Conifer forest" pattern wouldn't fit in too well down on the South Platte. Someone needs to help out Beretta's designers for next season.
