This pack is incredibly light and is very roomy. There are not a lot of pockets for organization, but that probably helps to keep the weight down. There is a decent sized storage area in the adjustable lid for small loose items, and there are two outside stretchy pockets with no top for bottles (or ... Read More

This bag is fantastic. Very excited to get out in the forest with it. Material seems very strong, but the bag is super light. Waist band is short, so be aware. Thanks, STP!

My son and I both bought this pack I bought the ladies version) for a multi day TMB hike. Love the weight, fit and packability, but the clip on the sternum strap fell off on mine and is on the trail somewhere in Switzerland now, and the same clip snapped in half on his. I still love it, but am disappointed in this feature.

I bought this pack, for a re-entry into backpacking. My first trip was five days on the AT with my daughter in early April. I tend to go light on gear and layer up with lighter stuff. With that in mind, this pack fulfilled my needs. At just over 2.5 pounds empty, this thing was lighter than any other affordable pack that I could find. Now, I'm not talking about the UL super fiber stuff, I'm talking about STP stuff here.

I had this packed to the max for our trip. I was pushing 35+ pounds at the beginning, not including water. A previous reviewer said it was rated for something like 25, but I had absolutely no issues at 35 or so. It was comfortable, and even seemed to break in a bit after the first day.

My only wants to make this a five star product, are a basic pocket on the hip belt, stretchier bottle pockets (barely contained a 1L bottle), and an additional mesh pocket on the back. I can, and will, add my own pocket on the hips belt, and with the given seams and attachments, I could add an additional mesh pocket.

One reviewer stated that this wouldn't deal with a sleeping pad. Well, it doesn't have the straps at the bottom, but it has plenty of vertical tie downs at the edge of the grey area. This is a simple fix with a small amount of cordage or strapping. Besides, I prefer the closed cell pads to be vertical. It provides a narrower profile going down the trail.

Overall, I would certainly choose this pack again. Especially if I could get it in a 75L!

I purchased this bag, because after review and viewing some reviews online, it looked like it would be a good ultralight bag for spring and summer backpacking. When I got it home and stuffed it with my usual assortment of summer camping gear (tent, bear can, clothing, stove), I encountered several issues.
    1. When full, the zipper does not function. I could not close the zipper without taking a bunch of my gear out first.
    2. It is missing large loops on the bottom that are used typically to store your foam pad or other things that you don't want to put inside or if you're out of space there.
    3. No mesh storage area on the back. I use this to store things I need to get to quickly - usually, TP, snacks, etc.

Sadly, I returned this bag for an Osprey Exos 58, which has the loops on the bottom and the mesh storage area.

This pack is incredibly light and is very roomy. There are not a lot of pockets for organization, but that probably helps to keep the weight down. There is a decent sized storage area in the adjustable lid for small loose items, and there are two outside stretchy pockets with no top for bottles (or something similar in size and shape). The top of the main compartment has an expansion area, with a second draw cord closure (Items in the expansion can be kept separate from the main area).
The ski holders/side straps can be used to keep the bulk down, and access to the main compartment can be had with the main top opening or the front zipper. Bergans website lists this as able to comfortably carry up to 12 kg (26.5 lbs), but not a lot of other specs.

The pack is light and well made. I look forward to trying it on my next trip
