The buckle is held together by a single, fragile pin. When the pin breaks it cannot be repaired or replaced. All of these belts I've bought are now trash.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Very poor design and qualityReviewed by Josh from California on Saturday, May 28, 2016I have 3 of these belts. Two have broken under light wear at the pin where the buckle rotates. The pin snapped in half, which doesn't surprise me because it seems to be made from pewter.
Also the grommets that serve as the holes of the belt are thin, flimsy, and have started to fall apart. The actual fpgrommets themselves are breaking because they are paper thin.
Lastly the belt is slightly too wide for the buckle, and the fraying webbing on one side of the belt always gets caught when passing through the buckle. This happens on all 3 of the belts and I've had to melt it with a lighter to reduce the fraying. -

The leather side is suede and the other side canvas. the buckle is niced too and you swivel it to reverse which side you want showing. the only downside is the leather belt strap is not tightly connected to the buckle. the designis that the strap feeds through the back end of the buckle and a metal teeth clasp grab it to hold it securely in place. the first time I went to put the belt on the strap came out from the teeth. I had to reinsert the strap and take a pliars to the teeth part to tighten. I am not certain the belt will last a long time because of this design.

Great quality and black/brown leather has been a great combo for travel. Seems well made and likely to last a while.
