Upon first inspection, these poles are VERY light, which I expected based on the specs, but it's still quite surprising just how light they are. I really like the design of these poles. They're very lightweight and won't get shorter as you hike as some adjustable poles have a tendency to do. The downside is that the length isn't adjustable, so make sure you know what size you want when you order them because that's the size you will be stuck with. The pair I ordered (they come in a pair, not a single pole as listed in the description) only came with the rubber tips. Was surprised as I have purchased Black Diamond Z-poles before and they normally come with both interchangeable rubber and carbide tips. They're great poles, but if you purchase these particular ones you should be aware that if you want carbide tips for your poles, you'll have to buy them.

Upon first inspection, these poles are VERY light, which I expected based on the specs, but it's still quite surprising just how light they are. I took the poles on an overnight hiking trip which ended up being about 12 miles and they faired well. My only suggestion is that when you get them (if you plan on using these for winter hiking where there will be ice), replace the tips. The tips that come on these poles are rubber and they don't grab the ice. Replacement carbide tips that work well on ice are available for a very cheap price. You can also get the Black Diamond Flex Tech Tips and replace the whole plastic end so that you can attach snow baskets for snowshoeing. They fold up small, they're light, and they're functional. These are great poles.

I liked the pole however there was only one, the picture shows one but several reviews said they got two, I took a chance. Buying two would of made it more expensive then some other places so I returned the one pole.

The picture is of one pole, the actual product I received is a pair. The company's web page says they weigh 6 oz. each. They are Black Diamond's low-end poles, but that still makes them better quality than most. I am pleased.
