Reviewed by Captain Kaps from Oregon on Sunday, February 12, 2017I'd say if you have a lightweight road bike, you'll be reluctant to snap this on. That said it pumps well and looks pretty. The two stage wasn't as gimmicky as I thought. I like it but just harbor a residual resentment about the weight.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by who knows? from who cares? on Wednesday, December 7, 2016It works and it is compact. My only criticism is that the little switch on the end to change from low pressure/high volume to high pressure/low volume is pretty hard to operate. It helps if your fingernail is trimmed just right.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Colin from RI on Monday, August 29, 2016I received this pump just over a week ago and it has already paid for itself as part of my mountain biking kit. It's been used used to inflate a few trailside repairs of mine and riding partners. The high and low pressure option works well and it is quite light for what it provides. The only issue is with the "lock/unlock" indicator. Once the pump is on the valve, it must be twisted to lock onto the valve. The indicator is reversed. This is a $40-$50 pump so the price is right
Verified Buyer Reviewed by w_alter from South Carolina on Friday, January 8, 2016I gave this to my Aunt for Christmas because she got kicked out of a motorcycle gang and has, ever since, been a cycling nut. She hasn't complained, so I assume it's pretty good. Given the current filmmaking atmosphere, this thing could probably double as a light saber when you're not maintaining perfect tire inflation.
May the force be with you!
Reviewed by BikerB from Maryland on Tuesday, November 17, 2015I've had a few blackburn pumps, all of which have served reliably in my saddlebag or camelback. The action is smooth, the construction is solid, and I've always found it relatively easy to get a good seal on the valve with their pumps.
A word of caution, though-- although it has the word "mini" in the title, this is a long pump. The specs point out that it's over 9" long, which is too long to fit in most saddlebags. So if you're looking for a higher volume pump for your camelback, and aren't a weight weenie, this is a great addition...otherwise, I'd look for one of their smaller models.
