STP hand-tied flies are very competitive in price and quality is much better than most. These may be production line (foreign made) hand tied-flies but hold up under adverse conditions. Hand tying your own flies is very therapeutic but if you are in a situation where you or your fishing buddies consistently loose flies you need to take into consideration the time and materials you typically use. STP prices make the decision much easier particularly when you are working full-time. STP is great at providing detailed (close up) colored pictures of the various flies and you see what you get. You need to educate yourself on the various sizes of hooks, if in doubt check a manual or website. As a general rule the smaller flies are indicative of what fish see in the wild and therefore attract more fish.
