Mountain Hardwear Tent: Brand Spotlight Winner Follow Up

Each week we feature one of our favorite outdoor brands in our Brand Spotlight. We give a little history of the brand, feature a few of our top products then we giveaway a free product to one blog reader. The prizes include tents, backpacks, camp stoves, down jackets, merino wool base layers, running shoes, hiking boots and more. The brands we feature include Columbia Sportswear, The North Face, Marmot, New Balance, Ice Breaker, Browning, Asics, Outdoor Research and more top outdoor brands.

We rarely follow up with our Brand Spotlight Giveaway Winners but we received this photo from Joshua Courter, the winner of the Mountain Hardwear Giveaway. Joshua was randomly chosen from all of the blog entries and he chose a Mountain Hardwear tent as his prize.

Mountain Hardwear Tent

Joshua took his tent to the Golden Trout Wilderness in the Sequoia National Forest in California. He hiked 9 miles into Maggie Lakes, where the photo was taken. Joshua's job was to do trail maintenance where possible with a primary goal of taking water quality samples, surveying for wildlife in the area, and documenting all botanical vegetation within 100 feet of the outermost edge of the lakes. The job required surveying 8 lakes in 3 days, which were Maggie Lakes, Frog Lake, Twin Lakes, and two unnamed lakes which we called Upper and Lower Pecks Canyon Lakes. The trip was from August 21 to 23, 2013.

Joshua said this about the Mountain Hardwear Tent. "Thanks so much again for an awesome tent! I thoroughly enjoyed the roomy and easy to setup tent. The dual vestibules were nice and a great way to store my gear close by. I also enjoyed the easy setup and no condensation build up. I would gladly pack this tent in for future trips."
