Backpacking Recipe: Pizza Taters - Campsite Cooking Ep. 3

Welcome to Episode 3 of our Campsite Cooking Series. This week we are featuring another great lightweight backpacking recipe. Watch the video below to see instructions on how to cook this easy backpacking meal. This week's Campsite Cooking Meal is called Pizza Taters and it is a great tasting, easy and inexpensive meal for the backcountry.

Backpacking Recipe: Pizza Taters

At Home:

Combine cheese with dry instant milk in a bag.

On the Trail:

  • Boil 2 cups of water

  • Add cheese mix directly to boiling water then add in the potatoes

  • Cut up and add 20 slices of peperoni

  • Add 3 tablespoons of sundried tomatoes

  • Season to taste with pizza seasoning
