While all shoes by Brooks are made to perform well, Sierra Trading Post is currently carrying two of the brand's award-winning models -- the Glycerin 13 and Ghost 8 -- at everyday value prices.
Brooks Glycerin 13
The Brooks Glycerin just keeps getting better, and the Glycerin 13 is proof of that. Awarded "Best Update" by Runner's World magazine, this shoe continues to be a favorite among runners who prefer a cushioned shoe. Super BioMoGo DNA midsoles paired with a rounded heel offer more cushioning and better alignment for minimal stress on joints.
Don't take our word for it. Take a look at a few of our customer reviews:
"These shoes are just as cushioned as marketed, and are made for those with a neutral stride. When you first put them on, they don't seem to have much arch support, but after wearing a few days, the sole starts to mold to your foot and provides more support. I had left tibial sesamoid repair nine weeks ago, and the 10mm heel-toe drop in this shoe helps to put less pressure on my forefoot, while the cushioning helps to protect the area as it heals. The sizing is as expected: I wear an 8 in dress shoes but an 8.5 in most running shoes, and Brooks Glycerin and Ghost models are no exception. My left foot is a little bit on the wide side, but these shoes accommodate just fine. Due to the surgery, I haven't done much walking or running in these shoes yet, but I recommended them to my sister so she got a pair and says running in them is great! I always stock up on Brooks shoes in June/July when they closeout the old models. I love that Sierra Trading Post has them for such an incredibly great deal!!!" -Ernsmith from Minnesota
"It is hard for me to find good running shoes. But Brooks glycerin fits perfect, so comfortable and I can run and do my kickboxing class feeling like almost flying!! They are so light and I love the colors. I fully recommend them!!" -Karlita from Utah
Brooks Ghost 8
This neutral running shoe by Brooks offers cushioning with its BioMoGo midsole, but the Ghost 8 has a firmer midsole than its predecessor. A DRB® (Diagonal Rollbar) Accel provides stability in the midsole, which is good news for overpronators looking to minimize injury. Having won an "Editor's Choice" award in Runner's World magazine, this shoe's performance ability speaks for itself.
Take a look at what some Brooks Ghost 8 users have to say:
"I have started wearing Brooks Ghosts the past year while training for half marathons and marathons. My feet require neutral cushioning to avoid injury and the Brooks Ghost hold up well. Historically I wore the Asics Cumulus series and the Ghost line is an equivalent shoe from Brooks. I notice Brooks shoes are more durable over 400+ mile worn and don't feel as broken down as other trainers I have worn. The waffle pattern on the soles grip road and gravel terrain well. Pleased with purchase so far and will continue to wearing Ghost in the future." -Josh from Ohio
"I am not a runner, but enjoy walking in comfort. The Ghost 8's are comfortable, light and have a well-cushioned heel. They also look great. I am very pleased with this product." -Thomas from Virginia
"I have been running in Brooks running shoes for more than 20 years. The Ghost 8 cushion, comfort and transaction is the best shoe to date that Brooks has manufactured. Great training shoe. I have had some injuries lately and just getting back into my running routine and these shoes have supplied me with the cushioning and support that I need." -Tampabay runner from Florida
