Chocolate Covered Cherry Bars

Taste is the one thing that you might be sacrificing with your current energy bar choice but there are many options for energy food that tastes great. We started our homemade energy bar recipe series with Chocolaty Raisin Crunch Bars. In our second energy bar recipe, we bring you a sweet tasting energy bar, Chocolate Covered Cherry Bars.

Chocolate Covered Cherry Bars

While these might not be the healthiest energy bars, they are delicious and the nuts will definitely give you the energy you need to hike that trail, ride your bike or climb that mountain. Watch this quick video or see the full recipe below.


Heat 4 Tablespoons Honey for 15 seconds

Mix honey with

1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
1/2 Tablespoon Almond Oil
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Lightly oil pan then add

1 Cup Almonds
1 Cup Sunflower Seeds
1 Cup Salted Peanuts

Stir nuts. Add honey mixture. Stir on low heat.

Cover a 9"x9" pan with chocolate. Melt chocolate and spread evenly.

Add 1 Cup Dried Cherries to the nut mixture. Stir.

Spread evenly over the chocolate. Place in refrigerator until chocolate hardens. Cut into squares.
