Honey Oat Energy Bites: Homemade Energy Bars

We started the homemade energy bar series to share some of our favorite energy food recipes. We've already featured Chocolaty Raisin Crunch Bars and Chocolate Covered Cherry Bars and now it's time for one of my favorites, Honey Oat Energy Bites. These delicious energy bites are easy to make and will fuel you up for any outdoor adventure.

Honey Oat Energy Bites


Mix the following ingredients in a mixing bowl. Start with the dry ingredients first and add peanut butter and honey last.

1 Cup of Oats
2/3 Cup Coconut Flakes
1/2 Cup Flax Seed
1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
1 Cup Peanut Butter
1/3 Cup Honey
1 Teaspoon Vanilla

Energy Bites Recipe

Stir all ingredients thoroughly. Then place the mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to let cool.
Remove from the refrigerator and roll into balls. Enjoy.
