How to Wax Your Own Skis

For a great day on the slopes you've got to have your skis or snowboard in top condition. A well tuned snowboard or pair of skis will glide longer and faster, make quick turns easier and perform better. You don't have to spend a bunch of money to get it tuned in a ski shop. Waxing your skis or snowboard is easy to do and you can save money doing it yourself.

You'll need a ski tuning iron, a plexi scraper, a brush and ski wax. You can purchase these supplies at a ski shop or sporting goods store or you can save some money by buying a Swix Tuning Kit at Sierra Trading Post. Sierra Trading Post currently has the Swix Nordic Ski Tune Kit, Deluxe Alpine Ski Tuning Kit and the Swix Ultimate Ski Tuning Kit at 35% to 40% off.

Watch this step by step guide to ski waxing for everything you need to know about waxing your own skis.
