SmartWool Brand Spotlight and Giveaway

Known for their warm, breathable socks and base layers, SmartWool is a brand you should familiarize yourself with for an upcoming season of your favorite winter sports.

Founded in the mid-90s by two Colorado ski instructors, SmartWool uses merino wool to make their moisture-wicking, stink-fighting, body-warming socks and apparel. This natural fiber comes from sheep raised in countries like New Zealand and Uruguay, but it's crafted into the performance-wear we love right here in the United States.

At Sierra Trading Post, you can find your favorite cozy SmartWool products at prices that are hard to pass up. Take a look at some of the SmartWool apparel we currently have available.

SmartWool Sierra Trading Post

1. Doube Corbet 120 Jacket (For Men): This jacket is surprisingly warm for its weight. With a merino wool lining and a front and back panel made of a water repellent, polyester shell, this jacket will keep you warm, dry and moving on cool days.

2. Cheyenne Creek Sweater (For Men): It's finally sweater weather! Made with a merino wool blend, this itch-free sweater is odor-resisting and moisture-wicking to keep you comfortable all day long.

3. Reversible Slouch Beanie: Stay warm and in-style with this reversible slouch beanie made with knit merino wool. Go for striped or solid, slouched or folded for a look that's right for any occasion.

4. NTS 250 Base Layer Top (For Women): Merino wool acts as the ideal next-to-skin base layer with its soft and stretchy characteristics. The natural fabric also wicks moisture and blocks odor for the ultimate performance base layer.

5. Camp Creek Jacket (For Women): A sporty-stylish jacket with a herringbone pattern, this jacket works perfectly as a warm layer on those cool, fall days.

6. Popcorn Cable Socks (For Women): This comfy sock is perfect for a cozy night in. You might want to invite some friends over to show off this sock's adorable combination of colors and patterns.

SmartWool helps keep me comfortable and outside all year round! These days when I'm out hiking or even just walking around town I usually have a kid strapped to me, so wool layers help keep both of us warm but not overheated!

SmartWool is the bomb. Super soft and very functional. Their base layers seem to dry faster than their main competitor too. Warm and dry is where I'm at on the trail and as my NTS 250 is starting to break down after a TON of hard use, a replacement would be awesome.
