These comfortable boots are soft, supple, rugged waterproof oiled leather. The entire boot is lined with genuine sheepskin, except for the removable insole. You can fold down the top as shown, or fold up for a longer boot. The sole is made up of numerous insulating layers for warmth. The boots are ... Read More

These boots are a little on the expensive side [for me], but they are well worth it. I like the warmth of the inside shearling and the outside waterproof leather. The width does run small. Keep in mind that the extra wide width is really like medium width. Eventhough I got these boots in springtime, I still like to wear them when it is not so chilly.
You will not be disappointed with these boot.

I live in Minnesota and value really warm boots (have cold feet), so I have worn shearling-lined boots for years. I just got these Blondo boots and it's July, but I think they'll be great. Lightweight, beautiful leather, and even stylish! They must run very narrow: I bought a WW, and I usually wear a medium width with a heavy sock. They fit well with the socks. The length is my usual size (11) and it's fine. For the best price, mid-summer is my favorite time to buy winter boots. I highly recommend these.

I have not tried these in the snow yet, but the boots seem very warm. The shearling is thick and the boots have plenty of support. This is my second pair of Blondo boots. Superior to Uggs because they are waterproof and they have some arch support. Sierra Trading always has the best prices, too. They did not have my size in these boots initially, so I filled out the option that has them email me when my size comes in. A couple weeks later I got the email and now the boots are mine and I love them!

Beautifully made as expected from a Canadian company. Quality leather and detail, but the ankle and heal area are a bit loose. Not a big deal for a winter boot in my opinion, since I am usually wearing a heavy sock.
Super soft and easy to enter. Looking forward to wearing them.

This is a great boots however you must order one size up to be able to wear socks. It would be great if it had on a zipper. I feel like it would get ripped sometimes when taken it off.

  • “how heavy are these boots? i'm looking for light weight warm, waterproof boots. thanks, diane”
Asked by diane from boston, ma on 5/30/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • These boots weigh 2 lbs 14 oz as a pair. These will be about a medium weight boot that keeps you warm.

  • “What's the circumference around the top of this boot? How tall is the shaft from the floor? How tall is the instep? My mom has larger calves and wider feet.. I want to get her an excellent pair of boots since she won't spend the money on herself!”
Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 4/9/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • The height of this boot is 12" and a shaft circumference of 13". The heel is 1.5" tall. They are a true to size boot so if your mom wears a wide shoe generally this may not be the best.

  • “Some people have suggested ordering a full size up from regular size, but customer service indicated these run true to size. I see the width measurements posted, could you please post the foot length measurements for sizes 7.5 through 8.5?”
Asked by Rebie68 from Cincinnati, OH on 2/5/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • I would recommend ordering one size up and one width wider. They run small. I had to exchange my order.

  • “Hello, could you please confirm that the shearling lining goes all the way down into the toe of the shoe and does not stop at he ankles or anywhere else for that matter.|I also read that the inner soles can be removed, is this right? Could you also let me know where I could buy replacements then?|Last question is the inner sole made of shearling fur or if not what material is it made out of...?|Sorry to bombard with lots of questions.||Thanks”
Asked by Maria from London on 1/8/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • Dear Maria,||These are ultra cute and comfortable boots, though somewhat difficult to get on. In answer to your question, the footbed of the boots are lined with an insulting felt, as are the current pair that I own! As for the shearling lining, it goes all the way down the inside of the boot, and covers the top of ones feet, down to the end of your toes! :) The shearling part just isn't on the bottom. The felt on the bottom of the footbed is still for the most part intact in my old boots, with the exception of the holes that I've worn in the place of my big toes, on the bottoms, from my unconscious bad habit of curling my toes under! Other then that, and the fact that I've worn some of the shearling lining off the insides on the outside of my ankles, I LOVE my Blondos. Unfortunately, I've just loved them a little too hard, and need a new pair!|I hope this helps!|Curious Blondo Lover :)

Asked by Anonymous from Unknown on 1/7/2010 12:00:00 AM
