Snug at first, then great!

I ordered these last minute to use on vacation. Sierra got them out on time and to my hotel the day they were scheduled to arrive. Great service! The shoes themselves looked great, just as they did in the pictures. I tried them on right away and found them to fit perfectly right out of the box. However, when I went into the ocean with them, they seemed to not fit as well...quite snugly to be exact. I felt a pressure on both my second toes after walking around a bit. This happened the next day I wore them too. But, I chalked it up to them needing to be broken in. This, indeed, was the case. I tightened the drawstring that closes the seal around the tops of your feet a little more to try and help with the fit. By the third day, they were no longer feeling tight and were able to be worn comfortably in and out of the water with no issues. They do feel like practically walking barefoot. The shoes are thin enough to give you enough range of motion with your toes. There is not arch support or anything of that sort. Again, you don't get that walking barefoot either. Just be careful, as the material over the top and sides of the shoes is quite thin and does not offer much protection. But, it is supposed to be to give you the experience they were made for. They were easy to clean the sand out of using a simple hose to thoroughly rinse them out. They did not retain any sort of odor to them after wearing for hours and hours, being dry or wet. So that is a plus. I feel like these would be great for any other type of water sport as well. The rubber soles are very thick and seem pretty durable. All in all, I think I got a quality product and a great price.
