I ordered on size larger and fits perfectly! Wore out in the rain and walked through puddles -- but my toes were try. Only the socks got wet!

I wore them straight out of the box with no issues. Hiked on groomed trails and all over Tokyo. These were perfect for my trip. I have smallish feet and found them cute enough(Look better in person than photo) with pants and okay with casual dresses but not the best look.

I field tested it in the rain and it seems waterproof. The no slip traction on the soles works well. I suggest that one breaks in the shoe for at least a few weeks before any major walking is done with them.
