Wear socks that come up over your ankle and calf. The top of the boot rubs on the back of my calf. It's extremely uncomfortable even with the fur. The boot is a little clunky looking but utilitarian.

Insulated with real fur, these boots are very warm. They are not for fall or spring. They are for the very cold winter days. A 2" heal makes them stylish while they are still conformtable for longer walks. I am happy with the purchase.

These are great. I like that they have great traction and add a bit of height -- so my pants don't drag in the snow. The downside is the trim is a bit scraggly looking and tufts can "yank out" when you pull the boot on. That said, I do like them.
