Decent product, but I'm a tough reviewer

First of all, I've been researching new ski pants (ratings/prices) for about a year now and given the marks and recent discount on these, I felt it was hard to go wrong...

I tried these on and they felt good. The fit was proper given the size ordered. I was a little excited to wear them since my last pair of ski pants are 11 years old so I decided to wear them during our last arctic blast (here in Denver, CO). I wore my normal silk/wool combination base layer and was shocked to find the wind put a chill straight through the pants and onto my upper legs (right where the fleece lining is). Granted the the windchill was -37 F during my shoveling that night, but I guess I expected better. The pants were definitely water proof during that grand event.

Overall, I bet they'll be great for sleding, skiing, and shoveling in "normal" winter weather. Guess I'm just a bit harsh on my ratings...
