I've been searching for the perfect softshell ski/snow pant to replace my north face STH apex soft shell pants. I wore a medium in those, but had a little weight gain (5-10 lbsish)and the low rise was making them fit funny. The large northface pants were WAY too large, and very unflattering. I tried these based on other reviews, and have to say the quality is impressive. Fit is very flattering And husband approved. Waist is a bit higher than some of the lower rise stuff out there (but not high waisted nerdy mom jeans style), perfect if you have a little poochy belly from having kids. Nice features- sealed seams, elastic boot skirts, well placed pockets, etc you'd expect on a much more expensive pant, and flattering bootcut styling. They are not super insulated or lined, so i'd recommend a warm, possibly fleecy underlayer if it is very cold or you will be out all day. That said, I tend to run hot, had only the thinnest silk underlayer, and I was never cold or wet after a long couple days of skiing. I did feel the cold wet chair lift seat through the pants, though! am usually a size 12, ordered 14 s and they were perfect.
