I have several pair of Dahlgren socks and appreciate the way they provide support and padding in the toe and heel areas. They are a mid-weight sock so will do create a bit of bulk. Upon inspection I noticed that the socks have small snags on each sock which account for the seconds. The snags should not effect wear. Despite the esthetic of the snags I do recommend Dahlgren based on comfort and details.

These socks appear to be well made and are very comfortable. On the down side, they are sized a bit small. I had to pull and stretch quite a lot to get them on the first time. Had I read the reviews closer I would have seen a comment about the tightness. The price was right.....their just too tight.

I usually love Dahlgren Alpaca compression socks, but these were abnormal. I bought 2 pair (large in green & medium in teal) the medium fit perfect and gave the right amount of pressure. The large pair wouldn’t even fit over my calf! I returned that pair!
I work in the Operating Room on my feet for at least 8-10 hours a day. These socks are great because they don’t make your feet sweat like the nylon compression socks do.

I’m a 10.5 to 11 in boots, got the XL and they are quite tight - bordering on too tight (high volume foot type). But they do hug the foot in all the right areas, offer nice cushioning where needed -except perhaps on the upper instep when you ankle lock laces are. Still, good breathability too.
Last note: read the description, the wool is in toe, heel, and wicking channels - not the whole sock, which is why it’s light.
