I took this on a recent trip down the Salmon. Here is what I got inside with room to spare: 2 man mountain hardware tent, long sleeping bag, full thermarest, camp pillow, 13 liter drybag with 5 days of clothes, full size beach towel, 10 liter bag with phone GoPro, battery pack and toiletries, small pelican case, 50 foot slackline to play on in camp, frisbee, homemade Kan Jam game a liter Nalgene, Sierra cup and a 2 liter drybag with medications and a first aid kit. This bag holds a TON of stuff. Like I said there was room to spare!

Looking for a bag that would attach directly to my bike rack for work and errands. Thought Ortlieb was was out of my price range, but STP proved otherwise. So far I haven't had to test it being waterproof. It's a great bag with just one complaint. Switching the bag from left to right side of the bike was a major chore. Thankfully, I'll only do that once. Easy to take on and off the bike. No problems carrying around, even using the shoulder strap. Plenty of room for anything I've needed to bring along. Incredibly happy overall and bought a second one.

The bag itself is very nice looking, but it uses a unnecessarily complicated system to attach it to the bike rack. After an hour of figuring out how to install the system, it took another many tries to figure out how to attach the bag (it's not a simple "click it on" sort of thing). Five minutes into my second ride (on a very smooth, flat road) one of the attachment components broke, the bag literally flew off, and it landed in the middle of an intersection. I'm returning the bag & going back to my ratty old Ortlieb that attaches simply & correctly and has never taken flight...

Very well made, exceptionally waterproof, nice interior organization, and good design to minimize heal strike. They snap on and off very quickly and very adjustable. You can't really beat the price on this or the quality. It easily fits my MacBook Pro 15 inch, and has enough space to carry a jacket and a few other odds and ends. One is enough for most days. Although, it can get tight jamming in a laptop, change of clothes and a lunch, which is when the second comes into play for winters.

There's not much to complain but I'll do my best. :)

They're fixed bulk, as they're plastic hard bottom, meaning they do not compress down, which is moderately annoying as they're not as low profile as they could be. It feels more like a suitcase than bag. Also, they're not meant for carrying around with the QL2.1 mounts (which I knew going in) with latches protruding outward. I don't mind the the latching but I do wish this bag was a little slimmer.

If you want a dual function bag, this probably won't be your pick. I'd probably go with the the QL3.1 version as the mounts make for easier carrying but there are better dual function options . Even with the QL3.1 version, I'd consider elsewhere if you're carrying this bag beyond bike parking to office.

A few other minor design flaws, the reflection panels are tiny on the bag itself. The adjustments to flip the rack so it can be placed on the left side of the bike require a wrench, a star bit and a hex allen wrench. It's kinda absurd that the the back mounts do not match (the rack itself uses the allen wrench and the blanks require a wrench). I happened to have all the tools but seems like this could have been reduced to requiring one or the other. Also, star bits are somewhat uncommon.

I doubt there's anything better for the price. If it were adjustable to low profile, this would be a five star.

Good for bringing your laptop, books, documents, lunch & a change of clothes to work or school. Wouldn’t recommend for travel or a trip to market.
