About the Adventure Technology Brand
Adventure Technology 4.551724 5 Average Rating:
When a company specializes in one specific type of product, chances are pretty good that product will be excellent. Adventure Technology is a perfect example of this notion. Adventure Technology makes paddles for kayak touring and whitewater. That's it. With that in mind, ATechnology paddles are some of the most technologically advanced, best-performing paddles currently available on the market. AT kayak paddles are lighter, more powerful, more durable and more ergonomic than the competition. Try an Adventure Technology paddle for yourself and experience the difference pure paddling passion can create.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by HikingTM from Montana on Thursday, July 13, 2017Just make sure you really want bent shaft. In the end, not worth the difference in price to me. But I'm not hardcore.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Buffalo Alice from Norhwoods (WI) on Sunday, September 13, 2015Well balanced; "ergo" shaft is easy on the wrists; stiff blade provides plenty of "pull" without flutter. Blade is thicker than some others with similar fiberglass construction (Werner Camano, for example), which explains why this AT Odyssey is a few ounces heavier. Note that this review applies to a 2012 model.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Montanaskiandsail from Montana on Monday, May 11, 2015Light and stiff with a easy blade angle adjustment, just pulls apart and snaps into position.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Montanaskiandsail from Not North Dakota on Tuesday, May 5, 2015Liked this better than the odyssey model from the same company because of the slightly longer and wider blades.. This paddle has a slick feather (blade angle) adjustment system , just pull the shaft apart, twist to the new angle and it snaps back together. Easy to do on the fly.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Me! from western NC on Sunday, August 17, 2014I bought this paddle and a Current 90 dollar paddle...no one wanted to use the Current paddle. This A.T paddle feels great in the hands, super light and glides through the water. I love it.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Kayaking Hiker cycling Yoga Princess from Southern Utah Red rock country on Saturday, January 21, 2012I paddle close to once a week @ several lakes including Lake Powell and Lake Mead. Have a Wilderness Systems Tsunami 12' and a Pungo 120. Have carpal tunal and hand issues, two surgeries. Paddle frequently, some long trips. Planned to spend $300-400 for a good paddle that doesn't hurt me. This one is great, no pain so far. What a difference the graphite shaft makes. My hands were always cold no matter what gloves I wore for winter paddeling. This shaft is warm. I am estatic with this paddle and the price. The trick is to get the right length for your boat so your hands fit the paddle in the right area where the bend is. I have 2 boats with different widths so went for the shorter paddle and it hit the boat. Exchanged for the longer and it is perfect for both boats. However I find with this paddle I can move my hands around and change from high angle to low angle strokes. Happy with this product. Thrilled with the price for great quality.
