Verified Buyer Reviewed by i12fish from Florida on Saturday, March 10, 2018Looking forward to pairing this reel with one of my Okuma Saltwater Stalker Rods for some light tackle fishing in 10,000 islands.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jjonas from Pennsylvania on Monday, March 5, 2018This reel was defective, not STP's fault, would have requested a replacement but item is no longer in stock.
Getting a credit so I can buy more outdoor stuff.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by rbinhood from Wisconsin on Wednesday, December 13, 2017Silky smooth and far too nice for my wife:) Besides, what woman wants a black reel?
The nine bearing drive functions flawlessly. I've had other Okumas, and all were well made and durable. This one seems like it will be too.
Reviewed by KP from Minnesota on Thursday, May 21, 2015Good craftsmanship - sharp looking. Seems light for a Medium weight rod - 8-17 lb test. On my second trip out, I was casting a relatively light lure and the rod broke about 13" from the tip, right behind the 4th eyelet. Bummer. Bought 2 w/matching reels.....now not sure if I just got a random defective rod, and I should replace, or if they have a design/mfg issue?
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Mike from Louisiana on Saturday, February 14, 2015Weight is nice, action is good, Fuji components great, on an IM8 rod for less than forty dollars on sale. Have caught seveal bass on this rod since receiving from STP ranging from 1lb-3lb with no problem. Good purchase, may order a second.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by sdmultiport from california on Thursday, October 16, 2014I was looking for a small reel for some lake and stream fishing. I ended up with a very large reel for salt water fishing. (if not for salt water, this reel was gigantic and I could never imagine using it on a lake). I did not read thoroughly the size of the reel, so nobody's fault but my own. In any case, it was not what I wanted.

Reviewed by Neko-desu from Illinois, USA on Wednesday, July 23, 2014It looks amazing. Thin and lightweight. Love the soft cork handles. It goes great with my Okuma Serrano Baitcaster reel. Medium action I find perfect for this rod.
Sometimes i do wish it was 2 piece for easy travel, but at the same time being one piece has its benefits like a more even bend along the whole rod when reeling the big ones in. For the price I got it at... It was a steal. :)
