Very comfy socks. I use them around the house and for hiking. My son already "borrowed" a pair after trying them on.

  • Quality socks

This is my first pair of Bridgedale socks, and more than likely not my last. Even on these "2nds" the craftmanship, design and materials are topnotch. I wear several pairs of Gore-tex boots, but I haven't the foggiest why these are "tested and recommended for Gore-tex footwear". There's a little more padding/material under the heel and forefoot than I normally like but it's not bulky or squishy so it doesn't effect the feel of the ground. i bought these for 50-70 F degree work days and they work comfortably well for that. 75 F and up they're too warm for me, but I typically run warm/need less clothing than my workmates.

Nice and light for summer. true to size. good construction and padding in all the right places.
  • tad thicker than expected

Expected "Light" socks to be light.
These are not thick in any way, but i was gunning for a thin sock.
Other than that it feels good inside running shoes. the cushioning is perceptible.

From rocky hiking trails to powdery ski slopes, Bridgedale of Ireland believes that well-designed, high-quality socks are crucial for all outdoor endeavors, which is why Bridgedale socks are engineered to reduce unwanted friction and stay upright inside your boots. Because your feet sweat more than almost any other part of your body, Bridgedale places a special venting zone at the bridge of many socks to enhance breathability.
