Decent but not as good as Smartwool

From the pictures and the product description, I purchased these socks thinking they would be similar to the Smartwool PhD line. While the socks are of decent quality, they are not as good as the Smartwool PhD line for the following reasons. Socks tended to sag on my ankle and bunch. Socks were universally thin. I had expected the pressure points highlighted by contrasting color thread to be thicker/denser. I did not notice a significant difference in the weave from one part of the sock to another. the different color shades appear to be more for fashion rather than for cushion or to keep the socks from sliding.

These socks are best suited for casual daily wear and wearing to the airport when you have to take off your shoes and show your socks to the world.

For the price, Sierra Trading Post has Smartwool socks that are better quality and more suited for active pursuits.
