These socks are very comfortable and soft. Color is as shown in picture. They do snag easily but not a big deal.

These are mid-Calf Not Crew height

I was on a winter survival campout years ago in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest U.S. Just before going to sleep for the night I had broken through the ice of a very small stream and soaked my feet, which at the time were in heavy duty wool socks. My feet were freezing so I changed into a backup pair of socks I brought which were my first Bridgedales. In the dark walking around the campsite I accidentally broke through the ice again and my feet were drenched a second time. But with the Bridgedales on surprisingly my feet were still warm! I slept through the night in wet socks but because they wicked away the moisture from my skin my feet were comfortable. I have been sold on Bridgedales ever since. They always fit perfectly without bunching up under my toes, are incredibly warm and last for years. These last two pairs from Sierra that I recently bought are like all the others and at half the price of most other online stores.
