Trail shoe and hiking favorite

Purchased these for a trail half marathon and overnight backpacking. Have used for both activities. The sole of these Cascadias, is rugged and tough allowing for confidence while running on trails. The design on the soles allows for good traction. I consider them a trail running trainer rather than an optimal trail racing shoe as they are heavy like a normal road running trainer. I have also used on multi-day backpacking trips and they are comfortable and light when it comes to backpacking. I had heard they are a thru-hiking shoe favorite and certainly see why. Only downside is they are heavier than most trail shoes for running with thicker upper material that takes long to dry when wet.
