Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by JBird from Michigan on Wednesday, January 29, 2014I have ordered 4 pair of Brooks Pure shoes for myself over the last few years so I decided to order for my daughter. So cute! They are definitely a minimalist type shoe and very light so if you want something squishy and chunky, these are not it. I would order a 1/2 size up at least.

Reviewed by SecretCity Bargain Shopper from Oak Ridge, TN on Wednesday, November 20, 2013I got these shoes for my fourth grader (size 4.5 in Gecko Green) and she loves them. They are light-weight but appear to offer good support for running.
These are her preferred shoes for school, however, and they aren't wearing very well off-the-track. She has had them for about a month, and the black paint along the edge of the sole has rubbed off (and did so after the first wearing). There are also some little strings now hanging loose. We will see how well they hold up. My intent is that they last for the rest of the school year (at which point she will certainly have outgrown them), and I think they will do that, but I was disappointed how "used" they looked after the first wearing. My daughter isn't unusually hard on clothing/shoes, but she is an active kid. Playground time doesn't seem to be what these shoes are designed to accommodate. If these were her dedicated shoes for running, I'm sure they would be fine.
That said, the price was outstanding and the styling gets a super thumbs up from the kids. It was well worth the price to get them for her for school/gym class, and she enjoys wearing them.
