Reviewed by AKfish42 from Nome, Alaska on Thursday, March 28, 2013Good deal on good socks. They are much like smart wool socks. Comfortable, warm, cheapm, and seem to be durable. What more do you want?
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ellie May from Worland WY on Wednesday, January 16, 2013Best thing about wool socks is the fact that they are wool! These socks seem well made and feel like they will wear well. They are a little rougher than some other brands of wool socks but if you are not walking all day in them I don't think it would be a problem.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by WildRoseVT from Vermont on Thursday, December 20, 2012I got these as a present for my boyfriend, who works outside in Vermont winters. I haven't given them to him yet, but they seem good-- thick, woolly, and long enough to tuck pants or long underwear into, so the socks won't slip down around his toes!
They aren't pure wool-- just 70%-- but that is fine if you're not super picky. I like only pure wool socks, but I know my boyfriend isn't bothered by synthetics, so I think he will like them and get good use out of them, and the wool they do have will be nice and warm.
It's nice that they're in a 2-pack.

Reviewed by HighlanderNorth from Mid Atlantic USA on Tuesday, October 30, 2012I use these for everything from general cool weather 'around the house duties', to backpacking, or for work when outdoors in cooler weather.
They fit snugly. They seem to do a pretty good job of wicking away moisture, however I havent tested them under extremely strenuous conditions where there is much sweating. The only slight 'con' that I noticed is that they arent quite as soft on the inside as my Smartwool socks. But to be honest, once you put them on and start walking, you forget about it, and its not as if they are stiff, scratchy and uncomfortable anyway. Its just a slight issue and from an overall comfort standpoint, I'd give them a B+.
I will buy them again. I just wish you could get ANY brand of merino wool socks in 6 or 12 packs like regular cotton socks, so we could save some money because they are fairly expensive...
- Best Uses: Cold weather use, Hiking, Hunting
- Cons: Little Less Soft Than Sw
- Pros: Good Fit, Medium thickness, Seem well made
