Reviewed by Johnny Fly Fisher from Colorado and Texas on Saturday, December 3, 2016I purchased these for sun and wind protection and to help my palms during a week-long fly fishing trip. I typically wear a L to XL in work gloves and ski gloves. I purchased the L/XL size accordingly and they are a little bigger than I'd like them. These gloves also have a very thick palm and fingers which is stiffer than I'd like as well. I tried them multiple times during my trip, but the bulk and stiffness interfered with my rod feel more than it was worth. They ended up in my bag more than on my hands. I wish they were snugger and more pliable. I will continue to try them over time in hopes they soften up, but that's no guarantee.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Fishing in Colorado from Colorado on Monday, June 20, 2016I bought these to keep the sun off the tops of my hands while fly fishing and rowing down the river on a raft. I didn't expect much from the pads on the palms of the gloves but they worked really well and kept my hands from drying out and blistering while rowing on a 3 day raft trip. The gloves do not get in the way of fishing and were nice to get wet to keep my hands cool in temps over 100 degrees. I would highly recommend these to anyone who wants to keep the sun off their hands as sunscreen wears off quickly while fishing.
