I'm a snowboarder used to baggy androgynous fit, and was nervous I'd be cold in a closer-cut jacket like this. No way! Used it last weekend in the woods and was great! Perfect length for snowboarding as it keeps you covered bending over to strap in. Only complaint is that there is not a zippered interior pocket to keep valuables in, only velcro pockets. Overall though, its great and highly recommend.

I bought this coat specifically for snowboarding. Haven't gone snowboarding with it yet, but I am very happy with my purchase! I have already gotten compliments on it and it seems warmer/thicker than other snowboarding coats I looked at. I like that it's also longer than other snowboarding coats I looked at since I often sit to put my snowboard on and this coat covers my butt. I got a small and I am 5' 4" and about 115 lbs. The coat fits well. My only complain is it is a little tight under the armpits. I will pretty much always have to keep the armpit vents unzipped for it to be comfortable to wear.

I'm a snowboarder used to baggy androgynous fit, and was nervous I'd be cold in a closer-cut jacket like this. No way! Cute, warm, actually waterproof, and I boarded in all conditions in the pacific northwest last winter. Car-coat sort of fit which covers the whole derriere, which I like for sitting on wet chair lifts. I'm 5'1" and 115 lbs, so size S, which fits me well, may not fit anyone much bigger than me. Sleeves kinda long. LOVE IT, though!

Based on other reviews, I ordered this jacket in a Large and it fits great (normally wear a small/medium). The sleeves are a little long but not a big deal. Lightweight, warm, comfortable and breathable. Great for walking my dog on frigid New England mornings.

I boought this mainly as a jacket for casual use - not shredding or skiing. However, after I checked it out I thought skiing might be good BUT then I discovered that this jacket is not waterproof but waterresistant. Waterproof items are always what I buy at this point. I think this will prove to be a good casual jacket. Styling is great! Yes I would recommend with the caveat noted.

About Burton

One name will always remain synonymous with the snowboarding movement, and that name is Burton. Back in 1978, the sport of snowboarding was virtually unknown and completely on the fringe, but Jake Burton quit his day job to make snowboards in his living room anyway. By the 1980s, Burton snowboards were helping people discover a totally new and exhilarating way to carve the snow. More than thirty years later, Burton snowboards and bindings are still leading the industry with cutting-edge technologies and killer-looking designs, as are Burton boots. On the slopes, Burton jackets and pants are made to help you beat the elements and look great doing it. Long live winter.
