Dresses up jeans or leggingsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Katz from Tennessee on Monday, February 12, 2018This lightweight sweater is open on the sides starting at the waist, which makes it look better when you move. A great basic when you need "dressy casual."
elegantVerified Buyer Reviewed by Amy from Chicago on Monday, December 25, 2017This is a very beautiful sweater, and the knit feels wonderful. It's lightweight and silky feeling. The picture makes it look very casual, and it could be, but it could be dressy, too.
Bought 2 Colors to Try...Keeping 2!Verified Buyer Reviewed by TrailnameET from Maryland on Monday, December 18, 2017Love that the cut actually keeps the sides in a bit /provides some torso coverage. Not crazy about side slits in general but they're not too long, & they do add some interest
I've been looking for lightweight, long, L/S, open-front cardis in black and gray (to replace the 2 Ann Taylors I've worked to death). These are less delicate & seem to hold up better in the wash...considering them an upgrade!
NiceVerified Buyer Reviewed by Sierra Fan from Michigan on Saturday, November 25, 2017I was sent a different brand, but the style is similar. Very lightweight and flattering.
Love the length and weightVerified Buyer Reviewed by KA from Chicago on Tuesday, November 21, 2017This Cable and Gauge cardi is nice and long and a perfect weight. Fit runs a bit large, but ok with that. Love it.
Very smooth fitting, nice drape, fairly heavy, slim not bulky look...Verified Buyer Reviewed by Gloria from Southern California on Friday, November 10, 2017I wasn't expecting much for the price and was pleasantly surprised. I usually try to buy 100% cotton or wool, and avoid synthetic fabrics, but over the last few years they seem to be getting more and more expensive and the quality of the material is not always as dependable as it once was (and aside from sweaters that are designed to be sheer and light, I don't want to sweaters to be see-through! these aren't...) These sweaters looked as if they would be ideal for work, and the price was excellent, so I figured why not?. I had never heard of this brand (in fact the tags on the sweaters I received do not actually show the Cable & Gauge logo--the labels are for Pointelle, which I have also never heard of).
I live in California, so I don't really need a jacket or coat very often, but I reach for sweaters and wraps often so I needed to add a few new things to my wardrobe, and of course I looked here on STP first! I purchased both the grey and black versions and these sweaters feel substantial without being too heavy and the finish is smooth, with a fine silky gauge. The fit is true to size--they fit well through the shoulder and sleeves and the overall length is great--just about at the knee for me (I am 5'4") and feels very comfortable. I was concerned they would not be breathable, but they are fine so far. The sweaters look flattering (slimming) and they will be perfect for cooler weather when I want some warmth but I'm not quite ready to pull out the heavy wool sweaters yet...
it is still warm here so these haven't been worn much yet, and I haven't washed them either, so I can't really talk about durability or how well they will hold up over time, but so far, so good--I like them, they seem well made and are an affordable option...
