The smallest for my small midges and droppers. And the medium box the 5 or 6 fly patterns that I will fish that day. Not the best construction (not water tight) they do float which is very useful in retrieving from the river when you are out fishing with novice hands.

I concur with the other reviewers I had to glue the foam in one of the boxes and I can tell the other two will need it eventually. You definitely want to limit them to barbless hooks. At this point I may get another set next time I order.

Barbed hooks will tear the foam in no time flat. The only drawback may be that a foam pad in one or two boxes may need to be re-glued into place. Goop or Aquaseal works fine for this. I would buy again.
