Born and raised in The Bronx, Calvin Klein started his fashion career as a young man by apprenticing at several New York design shops, eventually launching his own company in 1967. In the mid-70s, the brand introduced a line of trim-fitting jeans to nearly overnight success. Within five years, CK jeans commanded a fifth of the entire designer denim market. In the 80s, Calvin Klein underwear became the most iconic name in men’s briefs, and Calvin Klein dresses have been a regular fixture on Hollywood red carpets for more than two decades. Today, after nearly 40 years of setting trends and establishing one of the most successful fashion houses in the world, Calvin Klein clothing, shoes and accessories are still among the very best.
