Just the right size to mix a batch of gatorade for after run hydration and does not leak when I shake the bottle to mix it up. The 3inch diameter bottle fits my cars cup holders and backpack pocket. • “Does this water bottle have a straw?”
Asked by brie from Unknown on 8/18/2012 12:00:00 AM
    • There is a straw in the bottle! Thanks for asking.

  • “Does this version have a valve that holds the liquid at the top of the straw so when you sip the liquid is right there, little suction needed (yes, I'm an engineer :D)? I race and had one version where my energy drink drained to the bottom of the straw every time and I had to suck it back up the straw and then into my mouth... this does not work when trail running/racing, especially for 30 hrs+ at a time. Not only is it an annoying waste of effort/energy and a distraction, but you suck air into your stomach and have to burp it out later. With that valve I will happily purchase the product; without, never again. Thanks!”

    • Unfortunately it does not have any such valve. Sorry.....

About CamelBak

The story behind CamelBak hydration packs started back in 1988 when a guy named Michael Eidson was preparing for the “Hotter’N Hell 100,” a 100-mile summer cycling race in Wichita Falls. Before the event, Michael (an EMT by trade) filled an IV bag with water and stashed it in the back of his jersey. With the tube slung over his shoulder and a clothespin to pinch it closed in between drinks, Michael had unknowingly created the prototype for what would become the CamelBak hydration system. Fast forward more than 25 years, and CamelBak is now the world’s leading hydration pack company, with more than 80 different products, including reservoirs, backpacks, hip packs, CamelBak water bottles, travel mugs and more.
