Perfect size to fit hiking essentials, water, snacks and packable jacket. The waist pockets are nice for small items like compass, tissue, chapstick, car keys and I.D. The bottom straps allow me to bring my backpacking chair for a nice break, or I could strap on an additional water bottle. The extra back pocket is a nice feature, too, for rain gear, etc. The shoulder straps and waist belt are comfortable. The hydration bladder could be removed gaining another nice - sized pocket. I am happy with this pack!
