I have been a fan of Camelbak for a while, and used my plastic eddy one so much my husband called it my "adult sippy cup". Decided to switch to glass since it's the safest material. As expected, it is a bit heavier than the plastic version (but not problematically so at all). It's also 24 oz, which is a little less than the plastic version. I think it's a bit wider at the base-- I haven't measured, but I kind of need to wedge it into the cup holder in my car whereas the plastic one slid in easily. These do not detract from the product at all-- I still love it.

It still comes with a plastic straw, but you can get a custom glass straw (made specifically for the camelback glass eddy!) from glassdharma.com for ~$13. The best!

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Looks great!

Easy to drink out of and clean. Its larger so you don't feel you have to run to the tap every time you need a drink. No weird taste, and fits into most cup holders. Even though it is tall the silicone helps keep it in its place. Very happy with my purchase!

This is a very well designed water bottle. It certainly does not leak at all. I use it for tennis but would like to use it in the car but it is too broad to fit in any of the cup holders in my car. I found the straw awkward at first because you have to "bite" it to open it up but it's quick to get used to it. Also the straw closes so well it is difficult to lift to the open position when in a hurry. Overall it is currently my favorite water bottle. A similar design but with metal instead of glass would be great to make it less heavy for when carrying it in a backpack.

I use it for office and home and it works great. It's heavy for hiking.

It's GLASS, and very heavy. Still the same great CamelBak product for different use. Not for on the go use.
To heavy for trails, but ok for home or office.

About CamelBak

The story behind CamelBak hydration packs started back in 1988 when a guy named Michael Eidson was preparing for the “Hotter’N Hell 100,” a 100-mile summer cycling race in Wichita Falls. Before the event, Michael (an EMT by trade) filled an IV bag with water and stashed it in the back of his jersey. With the tube slung over his shoulder and a clothespin to pinch it closed in between drinks, Michael had unknowingly created the prototype for what would become the CamelBak hydration system. Fast forward more than 25 years, and CamelBak is now the world’s leading hydration pack company, with more than 80 different products, including reservoirs, backpacks, hip packs, CamelBak water bottles, travel mugs and more.
