This is a great hydration pack with 19L of room to stow your jacket, lunch, snack bars and other items on your hike. The included 3L Antidote bladder is stored in a separate pocket so it is well insulated and stays upright with the ledge custom made for the Antidote. For extreme winter or summer d... Read More

I hemmed and hawed over this backpack - I wanted something larger than my smaller Camelbak (used for mountain biking) but not so large that I was tempted to overfill it! This seems to be a good middle ground. I just completed a two-day relay race and this was the bag that I used to hold the items I wanted frequently (without having to dig through the back of our van) with the added convenience of having water readily available. There are little pockets inside the front compartment, which is nice, but I would have liked some additional larger, zippered pockets, and what I REALLY wished for were some pockets on the front of the backpack itself so I didn't have to go open up either of the main compartments to get at things like keys, chapstick, or other smaller items. That in itself is just a wish, though - overall, this is a quality, nice-sized backpack that I intend to get a lot of use out of!

I bought the blue pack for my self and the emerald for my sister for hiking Half Dome (Yosemite) and it was perfect for us. We had enough room for our food, a rain coat, a long sleeve and our head lamps. I did take two extra waters for the side pockets and although I didn't use them, I had them for our friend with a smaller pack. Love this pack. Not too big, not too small.

I love this backpack. I purchased it for the many day hikes I do with and without my kids and have already used it countless times in the last 3 months since it arrived. I haven't had any problems with the bladder and it keeps me drinking much more water than my normal water bottle would. I love that it has many pockets and pouches to lug all of my gear in addition to some of my kids'. The perfect size for all kinds of hikes!

I purchased this for a dual purpose: Diaper bag and hiking pack. It's roomy and looks very nice. The cushioning on the back feels nice. However, I did not get to use it once. It just arrived today and I've already printed the shipping label to return it. The straps, no matter how I adjust the pack, rub up against my neck. If I were to actually wear this throughout the day, it would rub my neck raw.

Pretty colors (I have the blue/purple), enough room for snacks/lunch/layer/various other small items. Plenty of water for a day hike (for me). Comfortable on my medium-sized 5'7" slightly short-waisted girl self.

About CamelBak

The story behind CamelBak hydration packs started back in 1988 when a guy named Michael Eidson was preparing for the “Hotter’N Hell 100,” a 100-mile summer cycling race in Wichita Falls. Before the event, Michael (an EMT by trade) filled an IV bag with water and stashed it in the back of his jersey. With the tube slung over his shoulder and a clothespin to pinch it closed in between drinks, Michael had unknowingly created the prototype for what would become the CamelBak hydration system. Fast forward more than 25 years, and CamelBak is now the world’s leading hydration pack company, with more than 80 different products, including reservoirs, backpacks, hip packs, CamelBak water bottles, travel mugs and more.
