Amazing daypack!
Reviewed by Adultman from NC on Saturday, November 11, 2017
This is the perfect daypack for me; I've been looking for something like this for a long time.

For one, the hydration system is genius. The bladder is 3 liters and sits at your hips so you barely feel the weight. The quick link system also works better than I expected. I can fill up the bladder ... Read More

  • Great day pack

Definitely worth the money if you get this pack on sale. Great for a day pack and maybe a minimal ultra light summer overnight. The lumbar hydration is a vast improvement from the full length style that ride next to your back. The bladder is a little tough to get back in the pocket when full but not a huge issue. Will be perfect for my weekend trip to Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon.

Pack has excellent capacity. Really like the reservoir at the bottom of the pack. Adequate number of compartments with easy access. Many nice features at a reasonable price.

This pack is the real deal! So comfortable to wear due to it's frame which allows air to circulate. Holds more water than a person would ever need on a day hike, and is easily drawn via the tube and mouth piece. Storage space is tight but again, we're taking day hikes.

It is more functional and steady than my previous backpack. Attractive and comfy. I wish it came in 28 liters size so could fit more gear enough for cold wintry weather high up. I really like it.
  • Perfect for day trips

The 3 liter water capacity is the perfect volume for long day trips, there is more than enough storage for other items. The low lumbar position of the water reservoirs is well placed. It keeps the weight low and centered without sloshing around and shifting weight.

Getting the bladder it into its compartment, full or empty, as is a little cumbersome as is feeding the siphon tube through the pack up to the shoulder strap.

Unlike top load systems, I found that I had to have the water reservoirs in place before I packed the rest of the pack. It is nice to finally have a dedicated hydration system with this much storage.

Pack adjustments are extensive and well incorporated. It is light weight and the frame design keeps the pack helps with air circulation. I really like the little green reflective supports.

I was hoping that the CamelBak Pursuit could double as my cycling pack- I commute to work by bike. The top of the pack however, rides higher than most, making it a little less than optimal for my 5'9 frame.

Overall a great concept and a good pack for it's intended purpose.

About CamelBak

The story behind CamelBak hydration packs started back in 1988 when a guy named Michael Eidson was preparing for the “Hotter’N Hell 100,” a 100-mile summer cycling race in Wichita Falls. Before the event, Michael (an EMT by trade) filled an IV bag with water and stashed it in the back of his jersey. With the tube slung over his shoulder and a clothespin to pinch it closed in between drinks, Michael had unknowingly created the prototype for what would become the CamelBak hydration system. Fast forward more than 25 years, and CamelBak is now the world’s leading hydration pack company, with more than 80 different products, including reservoirs, backpacks, hip packs, CamelBak water bottles, travel mugs and more.
