4.0 out of 5 stars. Overall GoodVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from South Dakota on Friday, September 29, 2017The harness and the carabiner part of this kit are great for beginners and I use them a lot. The chalk bag does its job, I just have a different one that I use more often. The belay device works well as well, just not as smooth but a little choppy on the rope grip that I haven't experienced with any other belay device I have used.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great starter pack!Verified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Massachusetts on Friday, July 28, 2017I'm a novice climber that only goes climbing at most twice a month. Buying this set pays for itself in just a few visits and the harness is way more comfortable than the stuff that you can rent at the gym. Great value!

5.0 out of 5 stars. Great beginning climbing harness + stuffVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Minnesota on Saturday, June 24, 2017I just started to get into climbing. Harness fits very comfortable, belay and carabiner not complicated which is great as I just learned how to belay.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great First-Time KitVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from Tennessee on Thursday, April 20, 2017I was tired of renting all my gear at our climbing gym and want to expand into the great outdoors, so this whole kit was a great purchase! I'm 5'11", 160lbs and the large fits perfectly. The one thing I dislike is that there's no way to attach the chalk bag to the harness. The chalk bag's loops are sealed, and there's no clip on the harness - I created my own out of a non-climbing carabiner but it would be nice to have a better clip option. The harness is comfortable and the climbing carabiner is a secure twist lock but easy enough to operate with one hand. I'd recommend this to any casual climbers or those of us who do most of our climbing in a gym environment.
