I bought the small and they were still too big for me. They feel more like moisture wicking material rather than warmers per se. So if they were named differently I might have had a different expectation as it is I was fairly disappointed in what I got. I'll probably end up giving them away to some friends of mine who go running a lot and have larger arms than me but these definitely do not work for me.

These arm warmers provided a decent amount of extra warmth compared to bare arms. Compared to other standard-material arm warmers, the material itself, appears to be slightly more thermal than most so that they have a decent warmth-to-weight ratio. They are also fairly lightweight, so I am looking forward to trying them out in the Spring or Summer for extra UV protection (without using sunblock, particularly at higher elevations). The material does seem like it would not retain moisture, which might be good for breathability. The one drawback is that material does snag easily, so I will need to be extra careful with these around coarse surfaces and velcro. Also, if you are looking for rather thermal arm warmers, you would want to find something else.

I didn't buy these to warm my arms. As a newcomer to melanoma, I needed UPF-rated sleeves to wear outdoors and in the car. Trust me, I know nothing about cycling "arm warmers," but these are great for my purpose. It doesn't matter to me that they're for men! I'm a size 12/14 woman, and the only choice in these was men's L/XL, but they fit very nicely. They're lightweight and plenty flexible, and I don't even notice the elastic at the tops.

I am 5'10" 150 pounds cyclist and these are a perfect fit. A very good item for sun protection, and can provide some warmth as well without being so too heavy to wear on hot days.
