Good shorts, problematic sizing.

I commute by bike, about 35 miles every day, so I use bike shorts a lot. Canari has always provided good value and these are no exception.
The material is strong and appears durable and workmanship is good. The shorts also have a drawstring which is nice. The leg grippers are very grabby silicone.
The problem with Canari is their sizing. From my experience with other models I purchased previously I knew to check the reviews first for real life sizing advice. Fortunately for me these shorts fit but I can see how one could get frustrated easily.
I am 6'4", 200 lbs with a 36" waist and my legs measure 20" around where the leg grippers are. Any other brand I need XL shorts or bigger. With this model, a large fits just fine but should not be any bigger.
A friend of mine (30" waist) ordered a size small and could not use it because it was too big. He normally wears a size medium.
I can recommend these shorts but advise you to carefully choose the size. And if you have thinner legs, these might not be the right model for you.
