Fine for short races/running

These are a decent pair of lightweight shorts for races and warm-ish weather. The leg hems grip really well...almost too well. If your thighs aren't solid muscle, expect a bit of inner-thigh paunch to get squeezed out. I'm pretty small, and I have that problem--hopefully it's just a winter/off-training thing. The other con is that the pad is really, really thin. I have done a lot of triathlons, from sprint- to Ironman-distance, and this is by far the thinnest pad I've used. The 4" (or so) inseam Desoto's are still my favorite.

I recommend these for running (I love running in these) and short distance tri's (though I haven't raced in these yet). I may use them for swim/short bike bricks when the weather warms up.
