Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by DutchBlue from The Woodlands, TX on Monday, April 17, 2017This is indeed a minimalist pair of shorts, just what I wanted though a key pocket would be nice. The chamois is man-made material, thin, and wide enough. Not as nice as real chamois but the key is minimal. I had no discomfort in my 35+ mile rides. Leg openings are fine with good grippers. The waistband could be wider but is OK, again in line with minimalism. Overall material is fine. Medium works for me at 5' 7", 122 lbs. Athletic build.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by clay artist from Texas on Wednesday, July 27, 2016These didn't have enough padding to make any difference for me. They were also rather unattractive. The fit was the same as posted by other reviewers. I usually wear a small or extra small, size 2, the medium here fit alright. I returned them.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by PJ Cyclist from S. Lyon, MI on Thursday, June 25, 2015I like the drawstring and the lightly padded crotch. I will use these for my recumbent bike and shorter rides on my upright. I prefer an 8 panel short for comfort, but liked the price on these and it is hard to find shorts for the recumbent that don't have too much padding.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by mom of 3 from New York on Wednesday, May 13, 2015Not for me...These shorts ride low waist but not too low and the fabric is light, seat pad is minimal.I have an athletic build and I did not like the fit on my legs...tight grips on thighs just didn't have a great look...sorry to have to return.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Active One from South Dakota on Sunday, December 21, 2014The medium is none too big. My first pair of tri pants. I like the less padding, but the back side is much shorter like a regular pair of shorts, unlike bike short that come up higher on the back side.

“Is the sizing of these similar to that of other Canari cycling shorts and tights? I see some reviews saying they run small, and I've usually experienced the opposite with Canari products, so I'm not sure whether I should order my usual size in Canari shorts or size up.”
The sizing of the Canari Tri Cycling Shorts is similar to that of other Canari products. Thanks for asking and have a great day.
The Canari Tri Cycling Shorts are made of 82% nylon, 18% spandex.
There is a soft thin chamois in this short. It is not a short you would want to do long distances in. It doesn't retain water from swimming and is then enough to allow you to run as well.
Yes, the entire area that is padded fits my 10-inch-wide- across Electra "Hawaii" seat perfectly.
Yes, but very minimal.
Yes, these are padded bike shorts.
