Acceptable, runs large

I've only had these shorts on the trainer so far, so long-term comfort is unknown. Padding feels thick, exacerbated because the shorts are slightly loose. When not on a bike, it certainly feels like I imagine a diaper might. On the bike, it feels like I'm on a bike. I did initially check that my seat was tightened properly, because the foam permits a very slight rotation between my butt and the saddle. Not sure if this will bother me in the long run.

My biggest complaint is the sizing. I'm a solid medium, and in cycling gear I occasionally ponder being a large, and am certainly not thinner than normal right now. I've never thought I should order a small. These are slighly loose and bunch up in places. Standing, the rear bunches, seated on the bike the front-thigh bend and inner thigh bunches. I have not noticed discomfort from this, with several 1.5 hour stints on the trainer, but it makes me worry.

I also bought a pair of the Canari G2, and these shorts seem to be just a hair looser than the G2s, both pairs are large for their size.

Additionally, the fabric is thinner than I prefer. I like a heavy-weight short, and these aren't.

Overall, they seem to work fine, but aren't the combination of features I would most want in a pair of shorts.
