weird fit/somewhat useless cargo pockets/heavy

Label states relaxed fit. I don't think so. Tight around buttocks and waist. Also, rides low on the waist, not like typical carhartt pants. I wear 32 waist and wish i'd ordered 33. I don't like the cargo pockets. The placement is such that half the pocket is below your knee and when you bend your knee, there's so much material that it gets in the way. It would be very difficult to bend your knee if you had anything in those pockets. I don't think how tall you are would make a difference, it's all relative. The buttons on the pockets are really heavy duty. Too heavy. It makes the pants really heavy to walk around. If you like heavy pants seems the 12 oz. fabric is the way to go. I do like the ripstop material and am tempted to remove the cargo pockets with sewing scissors. Inseam seems true to length.

I guess I must be too used to gussetted crotch and articulated knee cut hiking style pants. Although all of my working pants are many many many pairs of carhartts dungarees.
